A Year of Lowry Park Zoo Events-March/April/May and November/December 2015

Beginning March 2015

We returned to Lowry Park Zoo's upon their invitation to book sign for the spring season. We love this season as people are looking for Easter basket ideas so we displayed several gift basket examples of Ivan Becomes a Hero with How Ivan Becomes a Hero Safari Coloring Adventure with Drawing Pages. To encourage sales we promoted that with the purchase of both books, each person would receive a free colorful puzzle and a box of 24 crayons as their Easter basket gift from Ivan. We had fun! The promotion was a tremendous success.

We were amazed with the amount of people visiting as spring breakers and people vacationing away from the COLD weather. You could immediately identify them by the smiles on their faces as the warm sun beamed upon them.

We were blessed to sell many books, make numerous friends, and impart into "future authors" (young and older) advice on publishing their books.

April/May 2015

Frank, my husband, and I were pleased with the sales as we continued to book sign each Saturday at Lowry Park Zoo. We continued to promote both the Ivan Becomes a Hero hardcover book and the new How Ivan Becomes a Hero Safari Coloring Adventure with Drawing Pages. We enjoyed promoting with bonus gifts which increased sales and made the customers and fans very happy.

Winter: November/December 2015

I was excited to begin book signings at Lowry Park Zoo this winter. I missed the affirmation of my book from the wonderful crowd at the zoo. My author's passion ignites from my audience as I book talk. Also, I answer their questions and listen to their comments. Many parents request for their little children to sit on my lap or for the older children. to pose with them for pictures.  I have learned valuable feedback for Ivan Becomes a Hero and for my next children's book. It is a delight to serve these precious fans of Ivan.

The book signings of November 21, 28, 29, and December 5, 12, 19, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, were a huge success!

My prayers were answered to get the books into children's hands and hearts both nationally and internationally.

The Zoo Retail Supervision said the sales after Christmas would be good as people were visiting still. Actually, this was our fist time staying in Tampa for after Christmas. Usually, Frank and I travel to Amelia Island, Florida to book sign and celebrate our December 28th Anniversary with a work/play vacation.

As a result of the huge crowds visiting the Lowry Park Zoo and our 2015 sales, we will be in a position to create a 2nd printing in the 2016 New Year.

Also, I have a desire to publish my second book this year. God knows the time and season and has been gracious to me as I depend on Him. I will keep you informed. Happy Blessed New Year! I appreciate each of you. Thank you Lowry Park Zoo for you open doors.
